Hey all,
Last Urban Sketchers meeting we had was fantastic (!!!) and it is not something to take for granted. I came to the meeting an hour late . Everybody were frantically sketching, scattered around the garden and in the surrounding streets, and I felt that I must hurry up to catch up with the rest. So I stressed myself up and started sketching like I was on speed. Nothing good came out of it. It all looked like s**t. To make things worse, dark clouds came from the west and it was quite clear all hell is going to break loose pretty soon. So I rushed even more. When the sky came pouring down on Tel Aviv I took refuge under the playground slide and later beneath a store shed. And then, when this whole sketching Friday seemed to be lost, something broke loose within me. I took my pen and paper and started making fast sketches of the people getting wet without a cover. When the sun came out and all was clear and fresh I spent the remaining half an hour truly compensating for the time lost. What a great feeling it was!
wow, Amir! Your story is as good as your sketches! I don't know what came out when you were on pressure and call it s**t
השבמחקBut this stuff is really great, this urban jungle sketch is terrific, and i love quick people sketches!
It was so fun!
עמיר איזה סיפור מקסים :) מזדהה מאד עם ההרגשה שלך. רישומים נהדרים רואים את השחרור והנון-שלנטיות של הקו. טוב שלא ויתרת!
