Brunch at Jaffa port

I'm not sure I like visiting the renovated Jaffa port. Too much of a tourist attraction. But visiting as a sketcher is a whole different experience. Its always fun looking at people looking at things. The tourists themselves become an attraction. And the boats at the docks are a great fun to sketch. Coming to think of it, many places that seems unpleasant to visit, are a heaven for sketchers. So, when are we going to sketch in the Central bus station?

I like to jump from a technique to another one lately, trying to keep on experimenting… 

After my black and white attempts, here is a collection of works I did recently, using simple wax children pencils and watercolors.  The mix of oily pencils and watercolor creates sometimes an interesting effect…

Here are some drawings I did lately having a nice walking from the port (loveat. again, nice place to catch some interesting caracters) to Kikar Kedumim, the center of the Old city of Jaffa, with a stop at the café Napoleon with my friend Irit… and it's still full of beautiful llittle streets to draw ! Maybe an idea to go back there for the next sketchcrawl ?!! See you there anyway whenever you want

Back to Loveat

Hi everybody !

Waiting for the next sketchcrawl in Abima Tel Aviv, I went back yesterday to Loveat, at the port of Jaffa where we had our last meeting, and I drew a bit the funny people enjoying like me their cup of coffee with their excellent muffin cranberries-white chocolat (I definitely recommand them !).
