יציאת שרבוט ואוכל בחצרה היפיפיה של אואור ביפו הייתה הצלחה גדולה. זה היה כל כך מהנה להתחיל את הבוקר שישי באוכל  ושתיה (ופיטפוטים ומובן), שאני בקושי רציתי לצייר ;)

בכל מקרה, נראה לי שנחזור לקונספט מפעם לפעם, זה מה שהצלחתי לשרבט בין כוסית לצלחת.

Living in Jaffa offers me many chances to be daily inspired and test techniques… After almost 8 years, I keep on enjoying my environment and feeling as a tourist in my own city!

Brunch & Draw in Jaffa

Last friday we organized the Urban sketchcrawl meeting in my place in Jaffa… I am living ground floor in an old arab style building and I really enjoyed drawing in my patio and in the main court yard my urban sketchers israeli friends. We enjoyed the food and the drink everybody brought and I keep on eating it as I got a lot of excellent left over ! An experience to do again as soon as the Bougainvilleas will flourish…

את יכולה לצייר אותי?

בשבוע שעבר אני סוף סוף פגשתי את חברתי אורור בסטודיו החדש שלה ביפו העתיקה. כרגיל, שרבוט היה חלק מהתוכנית שלנו, ואנחנו התישבנו בכיכר קדומים, שטופת השמש של סוף פברואר.

אני ניסיתי את צבעי הפסטל השמן החדשים שלי:

אחר כך עשיתי את הרישום המהיר הזה בצבעי מים:

בזמן שציירתי, קבוצות של תיירים היו ממלאים ועוזבים את הכיכר בלי הפסקה : יפנים, הודים, נוצרים מאירופה... אחד הקבוצות שבאה הייתה של תלמידים ערביים מקומיים מיפו. הם התגודדו סביביינו והתחילו עם השאלות הרגילות: מה אתן מציירות? למה? מי משלם לכם? כשיתברר שאנחנו עושות את זה בחינם ולכיף, אחד הילדים ביקש ממני לצייר אותו. כמובן שהסכמתי, ואחרי שסיימתי הוא ביקש ממני לצייר אחד הבחורות (הכי יפה, עם המטפחת הוורודה). אני חושבת ששניהם היו מרוצים מהתוצאה ורשמו לבקשתי את השמות שלהם בערבית ועברית.

אני אוהבת כששירבוט יוצר אינראקציה עם האנשים ברחוב, ברגעים האלה אני מרגישה כמו סקטצ'רית אמיתית :)

Jaffa Old city

How nice when your mobile phone rings and a friend offers you to have a drink & draw meeting ! I try lately to deal with strong and complementary colors using ink and watercolor pencils, maybe a call for summer to be back soon ! I went mostly in the Old city of Jaffa which is nearby my house. How great to live in such a beautiful place that you can find all kind of inspiration 5 minutes walking from your place…

My turn to post my drawings from the last meeting in Café Casino San Remo, in Noga, Jaffa. More than a month I didn't draw… well, I could definitely feel it ! I struggled all day and had to keep on drawing until the end of the afternoon as a (wonderfull) punishment for having been busy elsewhere !
