A tour in Yafo

I am still drawing most of the time in Yafo, the collection keeps on growing, here are the last one I did

Season is opened in Montarey beach

In tel Aviv, everybody is already on the beach... season is opened !
It gives great opportunities to find funny or interesting models to draw

This Coptic Monastry in Yafo is in a very bad shape... Only one monk is living in and keeping the place, they don't have the financial possibility to renovate this huge and beautiful place.

בקרתי השנה שלש פעמים  ברחוב יהודה המכבי : בחרף , באביב , ואתמול ביום חמסין. הצבעים והאוירה שונים  בכל עונה :

פסטיבל סולם יעקב Jacob's Ladder Festival

הייתי ב"פסטיבל סולם יעקב", בחוף גינוסר. שלושה ימים של מוזיקת קאנטרי, אירי, בלוז, ועוד... אלה "החברים של חוליו" ששרו סיימון וגרפונקל וכאלה.

I was at "Jacob's Ladder Festival", in Genosar. Three days of country, Irish music, blues, and more... these are "Julio's Friends" who sang Simon & Garfunkel, and such.

 

 מיה יוהנה מנחם ושי טוכנר שרים בוב דילן וליאונרד כהן. הוא אשף גיטרה ומפוחית, והיא מזמרת בקול צלול.

Maya Yohana Menachem and Shay Tochner sing Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen. He's a guitar and harmonica expert, and she has a clear and fine voice.

בשעות הבוקר השמש עולה מהרי גולן, ועדיין לא ממלאים את הכסאות שבמים.

In the morning the sun rises in the Golan, and chairs are still empty in the lake.

פתיחת עונת הרחצה

בשבת האחרונה פתחנו רשמית את עונת הרחצה בחוף הים. היה כל כך כיף - עדיין לא חם מדי, מיים מרעננים ובלי מדוזות :-) אפילו הצלחתי לשרבט קצת, חוף הים זה אחד המקומות שפשוט נועדו לזה (בתנאי שלא מתים מחום, כמובן)

אז תכינו בגדי ים, כי אנחנו חייבים לעשות אחד יציאות המשותפות שלנו בחוף הים!

אתמול הייתי עם תלמידי בנמל יפו.
לא הצלחתי לעבוד בעצמי אבל בבית בעזרת הזכרון, צילומים והאייפד הוצאתי את אלה.

רחוב ביאליק

ביקרנו בשבת בבנין העיריה הישן ברחוב ביאליק. נתקעתי בחדר המדרגות היפה  להפליא ( בדומה לכל  חדרי הבנין)  וניסיתי לשחזר את המראה  בצבעי מים.

Yafo

To complete my serie of Yafo, here is an ink I did using as back ground a baking paper marked with the left over of "soft ground" used for one of my etchings

For the little story, I draw again from my car with my son sleeping in the back. As he fall asleep on the way back home, I stopped the car just to think where I am going to find a new place to draw... And then I saw all these wires in front of me and the mixture of different architecture, sometimes a bit destroyed, or trying to be modern... these buildings that as nothing to do with each other and started to draw that, the chaos (and the charms) of Yafo

שוב בנמל תל אביב

הייתי שוב בנמל, הפעם רק עם אייפד, אני קצת מתרגלת ואפילו כמעט נהנית.

בבית קפה תל אביבי

נקלעתי לבית קפה תל אביבי ותוך כדי קריאת חומר מקצועי  הצטרפו אלי שלשה חברים צעירים.  לא יכלתי שלא

לתעד אותם.

פינה צבעונית

יש לי עפרון חדש - צבעוני עם הרבה צבעים ביחד, כך שבעצם אין שליטה איזה צבע יצא לך על נייר. ניסיתי אותו על אחד הפינות התל אביביות הציוריות. כיף מאוד לשרבט איתו!
